following personnel of Indian Army, IAF and the DSC were martyred
during the attack on the IAF air base at Pathankot on 02 January 2016.

Havaldar Sanjeevan Rana who was 51 years old had retired from Dogra Regiment in 2009 and joined the DSC. He was transferred to the Pathankot air base from Jammu two years ago.
He hailed from Siyunsh village about 30 kms from Dharamsala in Himachal Pradesh.
He was employed on security duties on the night of 01/02 January 2016 when the terrorists struck. He fought bravely despite being hit by five bullets and martyred on 02 January 2016.
The martyr's father Rattan Singh who also served in the army said that he
will make his grandson also to join Indian Army.
Havaldar Sanjeevan Rana is survived by his wife Pinky Devi, father, two daughters and a son.
